A New Sustainable Toy

A group of green-minded designers put together an exhibition of sustainable toys from around the world. We were thinking something like a recycled rubber ball or an eco-friendly duck.
Nope – it’s a special one-of-a-kind teddy bear. “Twin Teddy Kit” is a teddy bear made from placenta. Go ahead and take a pause, yes, you read it correctly – it’s a teddy bear made of placenta.
What do you do? You bring home the placenta, cut it in half, rub it with sea salt to cure it. After it’s dried out, treat it with an emulsifying mixture of tannin and egg yolk to make it soft and pliable. Then, you craft it into a teddy bear.
Gross doesn’t even begin to cover it.
