I said this atleast 10 times during yesterday’s show. And for some reason there are a few that didn’t quite get it. So I’ll say it one more time…
I was not, and will never undermine the severity of the Swine Flu. I was not being insensitive or laughing at those who have the Swine Flu or those who have family members that have been diagnosed.
As I mentioned on yesterday’s show, my heart goes out to the parents of the 14 year old that recently passed due to complications from the Swine Flu. The same goes to all who have someone in their families who’ve suffered from the Swine Flu.
Just becuase there are those in the media who are heartless, selfish, and distasteful. Doesn’t mean that we all are. There are some of us left in the media that still have a pulse and our hearts break when we hear about a story like the young boy from Cabell Midland.
With that being said, I still hold my position that the “Swine Panic” has gone to far. And that’s all I’ve been talking about for two days now. In my opinion, if we remain calm and take all the steps we need to take to be healthy and cautious. We will defeat the Swine Flu just like we’ve defeated the black plague, and well… You get my point.
Thanks to all of you who’ve participated in my discussions on the air and on here!
